Spherulitic Rhyolite is from Turee Creek Station in Western Australia not far from the town of Newman in the Pilbara region. Rhyolite is the general term for a type of volcanic rock occurring mostly as lava flows and characterised by highly acidic composition. Spherulites are small rounded bodies and this structure is common in rhyolites.
