Labradorite overall can look like a dark khaki colour, but it is unexpectedly punctuated by amazing chatoyance in rainbow colours. This is the lure of Labrodorite.
Another gemstone that is great to use in mosaics, just lay it so the hole is not visible in your work. Use thinset or mastic to enable you to position the small pieces just where and how you want. You won't be able to do that as easily by using Weldbond.
